Samoans confirmed for Reading and Leeds/announce debut EP

Two VERY exciting pieces of Samoans-related news we have to treat you with on this lovely summer’s evening:

First up, they’ve been confirmed for the BBC Introducing Stage at motherflipping Reading and Leeds festival! Pretty huge news that they’ll be playing the same festival as the likes of At The Drive In, Foo Fighters, and Los Camp! If you’re lucky enough to have tickets (we don’t, gutted!) then you can see them at Reading on the 24th of August, and Leeds on the 25th August. Yet another reason we have for being eternally grateful to Jen Long and BBC Introducing, who’ve given us and all the bands on the label an incredible amount of support to date.

Secondly, may we present to you at long last for your listening pleasures Samoans debut EP, “Elevated Reflections”:

The lovely people at The 405 posted the exclusive stream of the EP earlier today (along with a rather nice track by track feature), so no longer do you have to listen to us bang on about how great and accomplished we think it is, you can check it out for yourself! You can give the full thing a listen on their site here, or check it out above. As we mentioned in our last blog post, we've been waiting a long time to announce this one, so hopefully you're as excited to give it a listen are we are to be releasing it.

It’ll be out as a CD and digital download on the 3rd of September, but if you’re keen to get your grubby mitts on the tracks before then you can pre-order the EP from their bandcamp HERE. As an added incentive for you to invest sooner rather than later, all pre-orders will also get an instant download of two previously unreleased bonus tracks, and an acoustic covers EP which is exclusive to the pre-orders. Not bad for a mere five pounds eh?
