Happy Record Store Day!

Happy record store day! We started the day with our annual RSD tradition of over-sleeping and missing the opportunity to queue up and all the awesome rare vinyls on sale (d'oh), but before you start questioning our faith in music we can re-assure you that a late start to the day is by no means going to stop us spending money we don't have on music on this most holiest of days. This post may be a little rushed as a result, but here are a few record-store related events going on today you should check out: Spillers records - in-store funtimes plus Future of the Left at Clwb Ifor Bach What better way to spend a day dedicated to independent music than with an in-store show at the oldest record store in the world? For the one weekend spillers is expanding into its neighboring premises to bring you live sets from Y Niwl and Meilir, exclusive releases, fanzines, goodie bags, and DJ sets from customers and friends of the store. As if that's not enough, they're also hosting a gig at Clwb Ifor Bach in the evening with Future of the Left headlining and a bunch of special guests. Diverse Music Record Store - Paper Aeroplanes in-store set If you made the huge mistake of missing out on Paper Aeroplanes mindblowing set at Clwb last Friday, then you are in luck as Sarah will be doing a live in-store set in Diverse Music. Even for those of you who were in attendance last week it's definitely worth turning out to catch them again in an acoustic capacity to see the songs in a different, yet equally captivating light. There'll be plenty of exclusive releases available too, and the possibility of interesting conversation with Matt Jarrett, which while not a perk exclusively limited to record store day is still definitely a good reason to go down. Oh, and we'll be playing in Buffalo supporting Jeniferever, which we're just a bit excited about. If you get home after that and your desire to buy records still hasn't been satisfied, don't forget that the SNFAS/Samoans split record is still on sale from here.
